Description

As a Software Engineer III at Public Cloud Enablement & Adoption, Cloud Platform Services Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives


Job responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Creates secure and highquality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Collaborates with a global team of software engineers to identity the current gaps in cloud products and recommend new features that provide value to the business
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages. Java, python, or go is preferred.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exposure to effective operational patterns like SLOs, metrics, health checks, error budgets, distributed tracing, etc.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as code tools such as Hashicorp Terraform
  • Proficiency in building/managing large scale infrastructure deployments (E.g. routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage and networks)
  • Exposure to Database and messaging technologies such as MySQL, Cassandra, Kafka, CockroachDB or Oracle
