Job Summary (12 months contract)

Assist in APAC Technical Closing
Assist in preparation of Reports

Duration:

12 months extendable contract

Key duties and responsibilities

Technical Closing Operations

Perform closing checks for Baseline and IFRS1
Prepare Assistance Entries and enter into OMEGA for Baseline, IFRS17 and Local GAAP
Assist in the preparation of Quarterly Landing Report
Assist in preparation and updating of excel files for Reporting and ICS
Assist in any other tasks assigned by the Manager
Potentially lend support to other closing operations

Contribute to process and quality improvement

Work with colleagues to continually seek ways of improving work methods and processes
Gather, investigate and analyse relevant data via root cause problem solving to support and evaluate suggested improvements and/or modifications
Agree, implement and evaluate improvements as necessary

Relationships:

Work closely with Retrocession managers, Technical Accountants, Reserving and Finance teams during quarterly closing

Experience:

2 to 5 years of relevant working experience in Insurance/Reinsurance fields Understanding of P&C (re)insurance business is preferred

Personal Competences:

Good interpersonal and communication skills in English
Absolute integrity and discretion in handling matter of confidentiality
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
Self motivated and proactive
Good analytical skills
Well verse in MS office (especially MS Excel)
Team player
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline
