The Accounts Executive plays a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the temple.

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the temple.


Responsibilities:

Financial Management

  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the efficient and effective use of temple funds.
  • Monitor and manage the temple's budget, expenses, and revenue streams.
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for review by senior management and the temple's governing body.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations for financial decisionmaking.
Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Oversee the processing of payments to vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment schedules.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including tracking donations, issuing receipts, and coordinating with donors or members for outstanding payments.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank statements, ensuring proper documentation and recording of transactions.
Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop annual budgets, providing guidance on financial feasibility and resource allocation.
  • Monitor budget performance and prepare periodic financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decisionmaking.
Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit necessary financial reports to government agencies, as applicable.
  • Assist with annual audits, coordinating with external auditors and providing required documentation and explanations.
Financial Planning and Strategy

  • Support senior management in financial planning initiatives, such as longterm financial sustainability, investment strategies, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to aid in strategic decisionmaking and goalsetting.
Stakeholder Relations

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including temple management, committee members, and volunteers, to ensure transparency and effective communication regarding financial matters.
  • Maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, such as banks, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:


  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
  • Willing to work on weekends and public holidays when required.
