Description

Conduct method development and validation for research projects on clinical markers (small organic molecules, and proteins) in biological fluids that can be implemented as metrological service to clinical laboratories.

Perform technical work functions for external quality assessment programmes.
Assist in the organisation of external quality assessment programmes.
Perform technical work functions for certified reference materials produced by the laboratory.
Participate in regional and international comparisons.
Participate in international collaborations in the field of clinical chemistry.
Calibrate and maintain analytical chemistry instruments.
Prepare and maintain quality documents such as Standard Operation Procedures, Method Documents, and Working Instruments.

Job Requirements

A background in chemistry and/or biochemistry
At least 2 years fulltime in laboratory research experience in chemical or biochemical analysis and handson operation of analytical instruments such as LC-MS/MS and GC-MS.
Knowledge in chemical metrology, clinical chemistry and/or protein measurement is preferred.
