    Description

    About the Role

    A claims position, responsible for professionally handling International Program (IP) claims triggered under either master or local policies. These IP claims might also require a sophisticated approach to managing issues with clients, brokers, co-insurers internal stakeholders, network partners and service providers.To be part of the APAC Corso Claims Team and based in Singapore, the role also encompasses feedback to stakeholders in the region.

    Main tasks/activities

    • Deliver the highest quality claim handling and customer service consistent with the Corporate Solutions' Claim Commitments and Claim Handling Guidelines.
    • Direct handle IP claims including DIC/DIL claims.
    • Act as a referral for Local Office and Network Partners' claims.
    • Manage the global customer and broker claims relationships.
    • Set and maintain appropriate and timely indemnity and expense reserves consistent with CorSo Claims reserve timeliness expectations.
    • Proactive file/diary management.
    • Keep Claim Management and Internal Stakeholders aware of loss potential and material claim developments, consistent with Claim Handling Guidelines and SOPs.
    • Regularly provide (and assist Claims Management in gathering and providing) accurate information and data for Claims' reporting.
    • Comply with internal governance, legal and regulatory requirements.
    • To remain familiar with relevant statutory laws, trends in judicial decisions and claims handling procedures in the insurance and reinsurance markets.

    About You

    • Claims experience of at least 5 years.
    • University Degree and/or a professional insurance qualification from SII, ACII, ANZIIF or equivalent.
    • Network of insurer and broker contacts in the region would be an added advantage.
    • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
    • Good communication (written and verbal) and people skills.
    • Curious, energetic, confident, collaborative, proactive, analytical, problem-solver, dependable, honest and transparent.
    • Good organizational and time management skills, disciplined, agile, self-motivated, strategic and good judgment.
    • Good coverage, investigation, loss evaluation and claim valuation skills.
    • Experienced and skilled negotiator and effective presenter.
    • Experience in engaging and managing external experts and attorneys, including effective cost and litigation management experience.
    • Good understanding of underwriting, other insurance functions and insurance industry.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, experienced relationship builder and high emotional IQ.
    • Strong computer skills including proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
