Key Responsibilities:


  • Payroll Management:
  • Oversee endtoend payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage payrollrelated documentation, such as tax filings, social insurance, and other statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance and HR teams to reconcile payroll accounts.
  • Expat Management:
  • Coordinate expatriate assignments, including immigration processes, relocation, and expat benefit administration.
  • Provide guidance and support to expatriates on local regulations, cultural assimilation, and other relevant matters.
  • Collaborate with global mobility teams to ensure seamless expatriate experiences.
  • Japanese Firm Expertise:
  • Utilize previous experience working in a Japanese firm to navigate cultural nuances and effectively communicate with Japanese expatriates and local staff.
  • Implement HR policies and practices that align with Japanese corporate culture.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  • Stay updated on local labor laws and regulations, ensuring HR practices and processes are compliant.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate HR records, including employee contracts, documentation related to expatriate assignments, and other relevant records.

Key Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR with a focus on payroll and expat management.
  • Prior experience working in a Japanese firm is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Japanese language (both written and spoken) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with Japanese expatriates and local staff.
  • Detailoriented with a commitment to accuracy in payroll processing and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
