Primary responsibilities/essential functions:


Leads issue triage on behalf of Core Ops for institutional complex matters in partnership with internal/external parties- Anticipate and respond to technical and strategic business questions from senior level associates- In first time through/complex situations, represent Core Ops with internal and external groups (e.g., client facing groups, IO teams, legal, Technology etc.)- Facilitates effective strategic collaboration across Core Ops and internal/external parties- Ensure all responses are complete, timely, accurate, and exemplify the high service quality expected from Core Ops.- Lead and participate in institutional centric projects on behalf of Core Ops; Autonomously develops and lead solution design/issue triage using ingenuity/innovation with consideration of external benchmarks; Establish project plan and processes based on defined business initiatives; set milestones and target dates, assign tasks, manage project deliverables and expectations for participants, and allocate resources to ensure timeliness of delivery; regularly inform key stakeholders/leadership/governing committees of plans and progress updates.

Ensure solutions are consistent with organizational objectives and communicate regular/custom updates to key parties


Central leadership, broad internal/external technical expertise, and guidance for institutional operations in Core Ops by developing and recommending short and long-term solutions to complex matters- Maintain strong operational knowledge of institutional product offerings, capabilities & ecosystem.- Stay apprised of external industry developments and topics.

Ensure Core Ops impacts are evaluated and summarized.


Drive translation of institutional business long-term vision into relevant Core Ops roadmap priorities aimed to continuously deliver high quality near and long-term outcomes- Partners with Core Ops management to develop best practice strategies, processes, and procedures aimed to continuously improve institutional centric operations in Core Ops- Drive forward institutional business vision/objectives by establishing related Core Ops goals, in collaboration with managers; regularly inform key stakeholders/leadership/governing committees of plans and progress updates.

Prepares and delivers written/oral customized internal/external communication to various internal/external parties Communicate aggregate Core Ops operational issues/trends relative to client servicing support delivery and make presentations to senior business leaders and governance or oversight committees

Build and maintain strong global relationships- Independently develop and maintain global key internal and external relationships/network- Partner with global cross-business unit teams to advocate for balance of custom client needs and operational risk/scale


Anticipate future business needs and partners with Core Ops management to identify opportunities for continued improvement- Remain apprised of aggregate Core Ops operational health/risk and delivery KPI trends to influence continuous improvement sound solutions trends (e.g., critical deadline lapses, internal record inaccuracy, control breaks, financial/reputational exposure and/or inconsistent interaction compared to Core Ops framework/best practices); identify opportunities for tactical/strategic improvement and partner with management to ensure implementation; regularly inform key stakeholders/leadership/governing committees of plans and progress updates.

Skills/qualifications:

Business & Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrates indepth and broad working knowledge of the Financial Services industry and institutional investment operations (banking operations and/or fixed income is a plus), competitive landscape, and regulatory environment; includes ability to translate relevance of policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the operations.
  • Demonstrates autonomously taking initiative to raise issues, solve problems and produce high quality outcomes. Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills with a diverse group of associates, senior business leaders and a diverse group of individuals outside the organization.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills, comfortable taking the lead in group situations, and independently drive solutions.
  • Flexibility to work in a fastpaced environment, handling multiple tasks with the ability to adjust priorities to meet changing client timelines/requests.
  • Demonstrates progressive thinking with a passion for streamlining processes and leveraging relationships to navigate changes across multiple global Core Ops teams and internal/external parties.
  • Demonstrates ability to consider long term impacts and explore diverse perspectives and dissenting viewpoints when developing a recommendation.
