Job Description Summary:


The Marketing Risk & Controls Lead supports first line of defense business risk & control efforts across Marketing, with a focus on operations.


The Marketing organization is on a multi-year transformation journey to reimagine the way we go to market, including from an operations and marketing technology perspective.


This is a hands-on role, with a mix of strategy and execution across all risk and compliance deliverables, including risk assessments, incident and issue management, controls optimization and cross-functional project management.


  • You support first line of defense business risk & control efforts across Marketing, to ensure all Marketing programs and processes are efficient and compliant with internal and external requirements.
  • You continuously assess operational risks and identify crossfunctional opportunities to improve marketing operations efficiency and optimize risk exposure.
  • You lead and drive the implementation of processes and controls in response to regulatory or policy changes, ensuring Marketing is continuously operating in adherence with internal and external compliance requirements.
  • You develop an indepth understanding of PayPal's operational processes, supporting marketing activities across all regions and building close relationships with relevant internal teams and SME's.
  • You oversee the management of operational incidents and engage necessary teams for investigation and root cause analysis. You develop remediation plans to prevent incident reoccurrence.
  • You manage a forward plan of all upcoming remediation and improvement activities, communicating broadly to marketing teams on upcoming changes, impacts and action plans.
  • You maintain compliance reporting, track associated metrics, and gather audit documentation in preparation for any investigations.

Qualifications:

7+ years' experience in Audit, Risk & Compliance or Marketing Operations in agile environments

Global Operator with track record in working empathetically across multiple geographies

Customer Champion with a good understanding of Privacy and Consumer Protection regulations globally that influence marketing activities

Agent of Change has led and motivated cross-functional teams through change and has actively played a role in lifting the bar

Brilliant collaborator track record in working interdependently with individuals and teams for mutual success and understands the importance of elevating others and the team's success above personal success
