What the role is

  • We are looking for serviceoriented individuals to join the Memorial Facilities and Planning Division which oversees the development, operation and maintenance of Government cemeteries, crematoria and columbaria. You will be stationed at Mandai Crematorium & Columbarium and will play a key role in providing afterdeath care service.

What you will be working on

  • Transport caskets to designated areas before and after cremation ceremonies
  • Operate cremators in a safe, proper and efficient manner
  • Organise cremated remains for proper sorting and storage
  • Carry out cleaning and maintenance duties at the service and viewing halls as well as cremation areas
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

What we are looking for

  • Preferably with some working experience
  • Able to understand simple English as the job holder has to operate cremators and equipment with instructions in English
  • Tactful, approachable, patient and have good understanding of the practices of different religions
  • Willing to work in afterdeath care service environment
  • Able to interact and foster teamwork
  • Able to work on weekends and public holidays
