The position holder is responsible for project development, project management and construction of renewable energy projects in South East Asia and Taiwan.

You will provide leadership to the teams in the region, manage risk, finances, ESG and ensure each phase of work is started and completed on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include achievement of project development, project management and construction milestones, management of project and department budgets and quality standards.

The heads of projects in South East Asia and Taiwan report to the position holder, while the position holder reports to the COO.

The Director and his organization work in close alignment with business development, investment directors / country managers, the investment teams, engineering, supply chain, finance, legal and asset management teams.

The position holder is responsible for the establishment, management and further development of standards, processes, best practices and method statements for these functions, in line with Blueleaf energy policies and standards.

If there is no organization in a country within the region, the above mentioned activities are led directly by the position holder and his organization.

Health and safety is a top priority next project development, project management and construction. Financial results and organizational effectiveness and efficiency, employee development and leadership are key performance indicators.


Duties are, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for project development, project management and construction activities of Blueleaf Energy in South East Asia and Taiwan.
  • You will be part of Blueleaf's Senior Management team.
  • Leadership of the Heads of Projects of country organisations or project development and project management and construction team members and activities, if no Head is appointed in a country in SEA or TW.
  • Management and progression of the project pipeline up to commercial operation.
  • Responsible for time, cost, quality and compliance with WHSE and other Blueleaf policies, processes and guidelines in regard to project development, project management and construction.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and proper manner both for yourself, team members, contractors, freelancers, stakeholders and for the wellbeing of others.
  • Management and mitigation of risks in development, project management and construction.
  • Reporting on the above on a regular basis to the management, investment committees and shareholders.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, project teams and other interfaces, escalating issues to the leadership team and to actively implement solutions to resolve issues.
  • Develop and refine standards to enable the organisation to succeed in business development, project development and with investments. This includes providing key inputs to qualify, select and manage service providers, suppliers and contractors via EOIs, RFI, RFQs and contract negotiation.
  • Develop the project organization to deliver market leading inputs on development, project management and construction options, costs, project optimisations, risk management and mitigation.
  • Set priorities for your teams based on portfolio management and maintain project management and construction plans per project and in aggregation. Identify areas of improvement or concern and report to the leadership team.
  • Prepare project specific elements of internal approval papers for presentation to Board/Investment committee during development and construction stage of projects.
  • Define key parameters and inputs to EPC or construction contracts and ensure commercial, legal and technical review and maintain and content approval for technical contract annexes.
  • Ensuring construction sites are operating to all Health Safety and Environmental and Social Policies including customer's policies and that a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
  • Control and report construction budgets, timelines and quality against baseline programmes and communicate internally to Project Management and upper management.
  • Alignment with the Head of WHSE on all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Social compliance on and off construction sites.
  • Provide input to purchasing for all aspects of project development, project management and construction.
  • Ensure organizational effectiveness, including: the identification of personnel needs, utilisation; recruitment and selection of new appointments
