Responsibilities:


  • Must be a MOM-registered WSH Officer, and be able to show proof of registration.
  • To be responsible for the management and implementation of WSH policy and coordinate compliance with WSH legal requirements.
  • To coordinate WSH and EHS management systems, promote and develop WSH culture, measure and monitor WSH performance.
  • To be responsible for the formulation and implementation of EHS business plans to achieve the company goals and objectives.
  • To coordinate and implement emergency response plans for the company and the sites that the company works in. Along with this, to conduct training on emergency exercises, fire drills, use of chemical suits and BA sets, etc.
  • To manage and promote the company's core values, business objectives and targets, including the development of supporting personnel and features for the continued growth of the company.
  • To develop induction training program, induct, train, coach and develop human resource within the department.
  • To participate and contribute actively either as the Chairman or as a member in the various working committees of the company or any other company wide gathering.
  • To maintain the discipline and cohesiveness of staffs under charge, working towards achieving the corporate objectives. Have a nose in recognizing problems.
  • To write to internal or external customers in the most effectively and concise manner. Conversely, must be able to converse concisely and timely.
  • To provide EHS resource supports to Production and Commercial Departments or any other department that requires such supports.
  • To support implementation of the Company's IMS to achieve QOHSE objectives.
  • To play the role of Deputy MR (EHS) under the company's IMS.
  • To collect and analyze EHS performance data, prepare statistical reports and present such reports to the Management.
  • To review on the relevancy and effectiveness of the JSA, Hazard and Risk Assessments (RA) done by the Production departments, to develop safe working procedures for the company and to maintain proper documentation.
  • To manage the EHS Resource Library of the company.
  • To ensure that RA is carried out and control measure is implemented prior to the commencement of the job, and Safe Work Procedure is established.
  • To ensure that any work that is rated "High Risk" is not to be approved to be carried out.
  • To ensure that all employees working on the job are informed of the risks, hazards and control measures related to the environment, work areas and tasks.
  • To review adequacy of PPE, safe work practice and conditions at site.
  • To conduct periodic site inspection, audit and interview on WSH and EHS measures that are in place to ensure WSH and EHS management system is fully complied.
  • To recommend and implement energy conservation programs for the company.
  • To investigate and review accident investigation report for internal use, client's needs and MOM requirements and to recommend the necessary course of action to eradicate such accident.
  • To conduct internal audits and self-assessment for IMS.
  • To comply with the requirements and responsibilities as stated in the Risk Assessment (RA) with respect to your position in the company, which will be briefed to you.
  • To perform any other related duties as assigned by the Management.
