    Roles & Responsibilities



    OVERVIEW

    To deliver Occupational Therapy Services to clients within a therapy program.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide individual and group therapy under therapist supervision.
      • Carry out therapeutic procedures as instructed by therapists.
      • Engage in discussions with therapists to ensure clarity on assigned clients.
      • Maintain high ethical standards and professionalism.
      • Regularly update therapy notes for clients.
    • Participate in therapy activities for clients.
      • Interact with clients and families.
      • Maintain therapeutic aids and equipment as per therapist's guidance.
      • Assist in organizing and participating in therapy sessions.
      • Observe therapists during sessions to learn from them.
      • Create therapy materials based on therapist's instructions.
      • Attend Case discussions and presentations.
    • Provide administrative support to the department and therapists.
      • Assist in documenting planned and rendered programs.
      • Maintain records of all cases, evaluations, and department inventory.
      • Maintain logs of events and visitors.
      • Handle telephone communication and maintain confidentiality.
      • Participate in department meetings and training.
    • Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
      • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the department.
      • Power off equipment at the end of the day.
      • Follow safety guidelines and minimize wastage.
    • Undertake assigned duties from therapists or Head of Occupational Therapy Department.
      • Support training programs and department activities.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • GCE O Level certification.
    • Therapy assistant course certification from HMI or related WDA approved course.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Good communication skills in verbal and written forms.
    • Prior VWO experience is advantageous.
