Business Development Executive

We are seeking a team player to join our Business Development team, to identify new opportunities and spearhead new exciting pursuits, spurring SAA's growth in 2023 and beyond.

In this lead coordinator role, you will work with each pursuit team to facilitate collaboration across internal stakeholders, such as project leads, design leads, sub-consultants, and other groups as needed to assemble and submit successful proposals.

You will collaborate across the different teams in SAA and drive everyone together in a fast-paced environment.

To succeed in this role, you should be able to manage tight and simultaneous timelines across ongoing pursuits. Strong writing skills, attention to detail with each unique pursuit, and a pro-active work mindset are also essential.

Your Roles & Responsibilities

Work with the Business Development Director to source and strategise for new opportunities for business streams.
Prepare bid timelines and track teams across key events to ensure ontime delivery.
Prepare bid checklists and matrices in conjunction with timeline to track all deliverables to be coordinated, produced, and submitted.
Lead new pursuit kickoff meetings to brief bid teams on pursuit details and strategies.
Coordinate across various teams in SAA and external stakeholders to ensure proper execution of proposal strategy.
Strategise with the Business Development team and pursuit teams on unique value propositions.
Coordinate scheduling of meetings with external stakeholders as needed for pursuits (e.g., subconsultants, vendors, etc.).
Facilitate key reviews by management, project directors, and other leads to obtain key clearances as part of the proposal process.
Monitoring of bid preparation by various stakeholders to ensure compliance to key submission, design, and evaluation criteria.
Provide regular reports and updates on activities, pipeline status, and market intelligence to management.
Coordinate with the Brand and Communications team to package corporate information for each pursuit.
Coordinated and facilitate debrief sessions, handing over meetings with the project teams.
Develop a series of standards and templates to improve the pursuit preparation and submission process.

Our Requirements

Degree holder or equivalent with relevant experience
Experience in the building and/or design industry is a plus but not mandatory
Excellent communication and writing skills
Attention to detail with each unique pursuit
Team player with a proactive work mindset
Good time management skills, able to juggle multiple deadlines, and work under tight timelines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Familiar with project management tools like Asana, AirTable, etc.
