[What the role is]


Electrical Technical Team oversees the development, construction and commissioning of electrical and control systems of the Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF).


[What you will be working on]


You will be part of the team that is responsible for the construction of an Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) in Tuas South area.

The detailed work scope and responsibilities are as follows:


Construction Phase

  • Work with consultants and contractors to scruntise design, installation, testing, and commissioning of IWMF's electrical and control equipment such as turbogenerators, power transformers, motors, switchgears, distributed control system and field instruments, for WastetoEnergy (WTE) Facility, Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), Sludge Incineration Facility (SIF) and Food Waste Treatment Facility (FWTF)
  • Participate and contribute in crossdiscipline meetings related to process design, HAZOP, etc
  • Work with consultants and contractors to ensure IWMF is constructed, erected and install in accordance with design specifications, and complying with statutory requirement

Operational Phase

  • Lead a team of technical specialists in operation and maintenance of IWMF's electrical equipment, to ensure high availability and performance of IWMF's equipment and processes
  • Plan and implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programs for the facility's electrical and control equipment
  • Analyse the performance and causes of unscheduled shutdown of electrical and control equipment and recommend improvements
  • Plan and carry out purchase and replenishment of electrical and control equipment and spare parts/components
  • Administer maintenance contracts for the electrical and control equipment
  • Carry out development projects for the electrical and control equipment

[What we are looking for]

  • Degree in electrical, electronics or power engineering
  • 315 years of relevant working experience is preferred, however fresh graduates will also be considered if they are accessed to be able to fit into the job.
  • Good technical background and strong analytical skills. Knowledge in solid waste management would be an advantage. Preference will be given to those who have exhibited interest and good knowledge in electrical and control equipment deployed in wastetoenergy or power generation facilities.
  • Mature, independent, resourceful and a good team player
  • Good interpersonal communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Able to perform rotating shift work over public holidays and weekend, if required
  • As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
