Our client is a MNC in the professional service/ consulting industry.

It has a strong expansion trajectory and is backed by a renowned and established investment firm (which is a JV partner).


The Position:


Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful individual will be overseeing the Finance functions in Singapore, ensuring all day-to-day finance operations, providing accounting technical advisory, streamlining processes and to grow and guide the finance team.

This individual will lead a team of 2 in the Singapore finance team, oversee the financial reporting, monthly closing matters and manage external audits and annual reports.


Job Description:


  • Prepare and vet all accounting work including production of accurate monthly management accounts and financial statements
  • Review accounts payable entries and payments made to vendors, ensuring payments are duly supported and properly authorized
  • Handle full set of accounts AP, GL and monthly & yearly closing processes for one subsidiary entity
  • Prepare weekly cash flows and cash flow projections for the company and its affiliates
  • Maintain financial records and databases including fixed asset register, intercompany transactions, etc.
  • Responsible for bank account management and bank account opening and assisting with KYC check
  • Responsible for payment of taxes, statistic survey, compliance reporting and statutory filings
  • Liaise with external service providers, including advisors, tax agents, corporate secretary, and auditor
  • Identify, formulate, propose, and implement continuous process improvements and transformation in ensuring operational efficiency, cost effectiveness and internal controls
  • Support the processing of payments and claims and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
  • Proactively drive and valueadd in special or ad hoc project work

Job Requirements:

Chartered Accountant with at least 7 years of accounting experience (with at least 3 years' experience gained in Big 4 audit firms):


  • Added industry exposure to tech or professional service is preferred:
  • Meticulous with strong problemsolving skills
  • Interest to work in fastpaced environment with high level of autonomy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills to supervise and manage a small finance team
  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and resourcefulness
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Professional and people oriented.
  • Possess a track record of excellence and willing to be hands on
  • Able to assume a broad role with the ability to prioritise
  • Available immediate or short notice period
