Position reports to:

Senior Finance Manager (Singapore)
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting to Management
Preparation and closing of monthly financial statements
Responsible for monitoring and tracking receivables due from ship owners, and working closely with owners for collection
Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (AR, AR, GL, account reconciliations)
Responsible for accurate intercompany billing and other intercompany activities
Support forecasting and budgeting of financial results
Perform monthly variance analysis to identify irregularities, anomalies and areas of improvement.
Communicate and collaborate with relevant stakeholders on accounting matters to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
Coordinate and liaise with external parties like auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, government authorities as required
Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements
Participate in company and department initiatives to simplify processes, enhance internal controls, and increase efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3 years' experience as an Accounts Executive in a midsized organisation. Ship management experience is an advantage, but not essential.
ACCA/Degree/Diploma in Accountancy
Good working knowledge of Singapore and International Financial Reporting Standards
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP, or other midrange accounting systems
Independent, selfstarter, strong in critical thinking, proactive, resourceful, teamplayer
Excellent communication skills
