This module aims to introduce the concept of networks and the Internet


Topics covered include:
different types of data and the history of data communications, signals, modulation and multiplexing, switching technologies and routing, network

architectures:
LANS, WANs, the Internet, Internet services, multimedia services,

broadband services, Internet protocols, optical and wireless networks.

Job requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from a reputable university. A Master's degree would be an advantage.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience at tertiary level
  • 5 years of relevant working experience would be an advantage
  • Must be available to teach during day time
Total teaching hours: 42 over 3 months
