We are looking for a Lead Product Designer with a solid background in mobile experiences.

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • Independently designing products with excellent quality across problem space teams and on strategic initiatives that focuses on Consumer and Driver experiences.
  • Go to the ground with our consumers and driver partners to directly understand the pain points and opportunities to inform the product strategy and iteration decision.
  • Create an experience that will win the trust of our consumers and engage them with our platform so that we can give reliable & affordable transportation services in a costeffective way.
  • Work with the product, engineering and data team to define consumer mental models that can help us define how to smartly show users the best transportation options at any point in time.
  • Work with other project stakeholders to deliver the information architecture, user journey map & wireframe flow that is relevant with consumers goals and needs.
  • Work with other designers, content writers, UX researchers to convert the wireframes into highfidelity user interfaces that are consumerfriendly mainly in the context of taking a ride.
  • Plan and contribute to design validation, such as through usability testing and experiments, with a strong ability to define the right MVP scope.
  • Conduct desk check of user interface during engineering development phase to ensure high quality implementation.
  • Conduct & facilitate requirements, design, implementation reviews and critiques of other people's work to create achievable, measurable & impactful goals.
  • Research and analyze industry UX/UI trends and competitor experiences & strategies in Transport and Mobility business, mainly for Consumer Experience.
  • Regular review of usage quantitative data from analytics to be triangulated with the qualitative insights that will drive the right decision.
  • Actively shape the future of the Grab design organisation by improving design processes, mentoring/coaching other designers and defining the future of design in SEA.

The Must-Haves

  • Online portfolio with prior work experience in the Transport industry and additional experience in the driver delivery apps business.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a product designer in the delivery app business industry (Transport/Food/Groceries delivery).
  • Excellent understanding of UX design for the web, mobile, or touch devices with prior experience in the merchant POS system designs
  • Experience with running guerilla testing, concept testing and low fidelity UTs to help the team arrive at the right solutions.
  • Good eye for visual design & handson experience in user interface design.
  • Experience with current and relevant design tools like Figma, ProtoPie among others.
  • Ability to prototype and demonstrate design concepts to extended stakeholders.
  • Experience in service design, conducting user research through various methods, and ability to translate research finding into tangible product feature requirements or improvements are a plus.
