We're driven by progress and thrive on the challenge of relentless improvement. We're growing fast and our ambition is huge - more categories, more locations and more people.

Our scale and rapid growth make Dyson rich in new opportunities.

We value new ideas and diverse perspectives, so our people are trusted with real work and responsibility from the outset.

You'll develop fast and have the chance to move into different business areas and regions.

Working in our world-class Research, Design and Development department, our Product Development team takes our ideas to the next level.

Each generation of Dyson technology must set the benchmark for the next. And with so many new categories on the way, we need to be more inventive than ever. Through extensive testing and iterations, we relentlessly develop our machines until they reach the levels Dyson expects for manufacturing.

We are looking for Graduate Human Factors and Insights Engineer to work alongside leading technical specialists and highly motivated creative people, to develop products which fulfil our ambition of being truly different and better than our competitors.

About the role:

As a Graduate Human Factors and Insights Engineer, you will:

  • Learn and build solid knowledge of Qualitative and Quantitative research techniques; demonstrated via project deliveries and departmental knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate closely with the key stakeholders including Design Managers, Claims Managers and the various Insights Teams (Mechanistic, Commercial and Quality) in developing critical to customer and consumer satisfaction requirements.
  • Plan, design, and execute user studies, liaising with internal cross teams and external market research agencies, managing participants recruitment, generating trial protocol/discussion guides, and moderating the studies.
  • Analyse studies results and communicating these effectively with both technical and nontechnical colleagues, constantly looking to challenge and develop Dyson engineering practices to continuously improve design quality.
  • Translate the insights into clear actionable recommendations to aid with the refinement of the User Experience journey.
  • Working with engineers and scientists/technical experts across a broad range of disciplines, you'll be comfortable learning from others, but also sharing your own knowledge, ideas and opinions.

  • Passionate about Dyson and our technology to help us meet our ambitious plans.
  • To be eligible you will need to have no more than two years of relevant work experience postgraduation (PHD students are not eligible for our graduate programmes).
