Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) Intern

  • Trained in Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles essential for recruitment of participants for clinical studies.
  • Independently conducted pre-screening, recruitment, biological sample processing and follow-up planning of patients for a gastroenterology observational study focusing on temporal effects of liver cirrhosis.
    • This included obtaining Informed Consent from patients, and in some instances, obtaining impartial witness for explanations conducted in non-English.
    • Successfully recruited close to 40 patients throughout the internship period, and created REDCap to record data of patients accordingly.
  • Conducted tele-recruitment for a qualitative study exploring Radiography non-attendance.
  • Mediator among doctors, nurses, clinic patient service associates, fellow CRCs or hospital staffs to enquire patient’s details or to answer a patient’s enquiries.

    • The consumer research study was conducted using questionnaire which specifically targeted influence of age, gender and educational background. Gained new perspectives as study revealed ineffectiveness of HCS in promoting selection of healthy food.
