With my roots in Kolkata, I gain my academic strength from Modern High School for Girls which has instilled deep-rooted values in me. My determination and passion have enabled me to pursue my career in Economics and Finance. Currently, I am a 1st-year student at Singapore Management University where I am studying BSc. Economics. You can call me a sports enthusiast too. The three adjectives which best describe me are hardworking, amiable, and focused. Over the period of 18 years, I have gained skills in Microsoft Excel, and Canva and basic Knowledge of R programming. I love to interact and seize new opportunities that come my way.

Interested in Finance I have done two internships one at Yes Bank, Kolkata, and the other one at Eastern Financiers Ltd, Kolkata. 

During my internship at Yes Bank

• Position Held - Assistant of Operation Manager
• Job- To handle the audit of the company and solve client queries related to their account
• Training was given on - How to manage the audit of the company
• Daily work was – To see if there is any discrepancy in the forms submitted by a client 
•                                 Make sure cheques are filled correctly and submitted properly
•                                 Transactions made over the entire day are entered correctly
•                                 Clients visiting the banks are given fast service 
•                                 To call up the clients and update them about the new offers or policies introduced by the bank

 During my internship at Eastern Financiers Ltd, Kolkata                                      

• Position Held – Assistant of Eastern Financiers Stock Dealer
• Duty - To manage two client’s portfolios which included mutual funds, fixed deposits, and investment
• Training was given in – How to study and regulate the terminals on which prices of stocks were shown

                                             Was taught how to analyze individual stocks graph on TradingView

                                             To be aware of the news provided on apps like MoneyControl, Economic Times, and Twitter

• Presentation – Before getting the work of managing a client’s portfolio, I had to present my senior a case study of 5 stocks 

Currently, I am studying Statistics, Mathematics, and Economics.

Under my course syllabus, I mainly have to deal with numbers, analyze data and charts, need to have market knowledge, and use the basic programming language to get the result out. Constantly my critical and analyzing skills are used. Moreover, as an economist, I need to conduct research and have in-depth knowledge of the theory taught to me in class.
