I'm a Civil Engineering graduate with a passion for transforming ideas into detailed and innovative designs. Having embarked on my professional journey in 2014, I've dedicated the past 5 years to the field of Building Information Modeling (BIM).

🏗️ Professional Background: I currently serve as a BIM Modeller, where my role involves translating conceptual plans into comprehensive, data-rich 3D models. Over the years, I've honed my skills in utilizing BIM technology to enhance collaboration, streamline workflows, and ensure the seamless execution of construction projects.

1. BIM Modeler: Quek Hock Seng Construction pte ltd., Singapore 

(Feb 2022- Present) 

Currently working on DSTA projects as responsible for Site coordination and BIM Modeling based on Singapore country standards.

Responsibility:

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models using Revit architecture and AutoCAD, adhering to Singapore country standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure the BIM model aligns with the design intent and supports construction activities.
• Perform clash detection and resolution to eliminate conflicts between architectural, structural, and MEP elements.
• Contribute to precast design solutions, integrating precast components into the BIM model for optimized construction processes.
• Generate precise shop drawings and construction documents from the BIM model to facilitate fabrication and installation processes, including precast elements.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and support estimation for effective cost control and budget management, incorporating precast materials and quantities.
• Simulate construction sequences and visualize building processes virtually to enhance construction planning and sequencing, considering the integration of precast elements.
• Provide on-site support to construction teams and interpret the BIM model for seamless implementation on the field, particularly concerning precast component placement and assembly.
• Ensure compliance with BIM standards and protocols, maintaining consistency across projects, including those involving precast elements.
• Regularly perform quality checks on the BIM model, ensuring accuracy and resolving clashes to avoid on-site issues, especially related to precast components.
• Update the BIM model to reflect as-built changes, contributing to accurate as-built documentation for facility management, including precast structures.
• Knowledge in precast & cast in-situ structures.
• Inform the Project Manager of any technical/site problems about architectural works.
• Plan and advise the construction foreman on sequencing and arrangement of work

2. BIM Modeler: Powen Engineering Pte Ltd., Singapore (Dec 2019- Nov 2021)

Currently working in Commercial and Residential Projects as well as BIM Modeler based on Singapore country standards.

Responsibility:

• Responsible for preparing BIM model shop drawings using Revit MEP and AutoCAD
• Created and maintained detailed electrical BIM models, ensuring they comply with Singapore country standards and industry best practices.
• Integrated electrical components and systems into the BIM model, coordinating with other disciplines to avoid clashes and conflicts.
• Generated precise electrical shop drawings, cable routing plans, and schematics from the BIM model to support construction and installation activities.
• Conducted clash detection and resolution for electrical systems, working closely with other trades to optimize space and minimize clashes.
• Assisted in quantity takeoffs and estimation for electrical materials, contributing to cost control and budget management.
• Simulated electrical construction sequences and visualized electrical installations virtually to aid in construction planning and sequencing.
• Provided on-site support to construction teams, interpreting the electrical BIM model for efficient implementation during electrical installations.

3. Senior Design Engineer: iKix 3D Prints Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, India (May 2015- June 2019) 

iKix3D Prints provide effective and rapid prototype models which allow you to communicate the designs effectively. iKix 3D Prints is the innovation leader in 3D Printing & Architectural Model Making. iKix 3D Prints can be used for large-scale model making, a single building, massing/spatial/detailed models or shadow studies.

Responsibility:

• Create a 3D model in floor plan and section using Revit
• To prepare a work for miniature models.
• Attention to quality and detail.
• Ensuring that the work is cost-effective.
• Manage and supervise the day-to-day running of the project site.
• Supervise to achieve quality of work and to comply with safety & environmental regulations
• All the 3D designs will be done by AutoCAD, Revit and 3ds Max.
• Coordinate handing over of completed works.
• Conducting inspections to check on progress and work performance on models.

4. AutoCAD Designer: Blossoms Associates, Chennai, India. (March 2014 – April 2015)

Responsibility:

• Will be working on-site with responsibility for the overall and simultaneous execution of multiple residential interior projects.
• Should report to Project Manager and Project Coordinator
• To handle material effectively.
• Supervise with labour to ensure proper finishing of work.
• To execute the work as per quotation.
• To prepare the required material list at the site.
• Coordinating with the sub-contractors, supervisors, and general workforce.
• Completing the projects promptly within pre-determined budgets and quality standards.
• Check site work status and approve labour payments.
• To be in frequent communication with the Project Coordinator.

EDUCATIONALBACKGROUND:

• Bachelor of civil engineering, PSN College of engineering and technology, Tamil Nadu, India. (2009-2013)
• Diploma in CIVIL CAD
