Self-motivated and meticulous forensic scientist with more than 10 years of experience handling a diverse range of crime cases from traffic accidents to the identification of adulterants. Forensic examination of glass, paint, urine and unknowns

 • Carry out forensic examinations on glass, paint, urine and unknowns exhibits submitted by enforcement agencies. 

• Responded to crime scene activations upon requested by enforcement agencies. 

• Authored more than 50 forensic reports under the agreed service level agreement. 

• Provided expert witness testimony for five cases in Court.

 • Supervised, trained and motivate junior scientists/officers in the area of exhibits examination and instrumentation analyses.

Projects and initiatives 

• Initiated the collection of more than 500 automotive paint and glass samples from local automotive dealers to populate the in-house databases. 

• Led a team in purchasing and validating a new system for the analyses of glass samples.

 • Performed method verification for the analyses of capsaicinoids and pepper alkaloids for the existing GCMSMS systems.

Other duties 

• Provided trainings and presentations to police officers from the Singapore Police Force. 

• Performed annual laboratory asset checks and audit with the Finance Manger to ensure accountability of the assets in the laboratory. 

• Assisted the Quality Manager and Technical Leaders in managing the quality assurance and control activates of the laboratory. 

• Certified internal auditor for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ANSIASQ National Accreditation Board accreditation requirements (AR 3125).
