About Charlene Teo:
I am a cargo solution specialist with extensive experience in network planning, feeder procurement, business development as well as trade management. I oversee the container NVOCC arm for Legend Group. With my team of 16 people, my role has been focused on driving the liner business profitability and volume growth across 10 countries and 16 regional offices in Far East, Southeast Asia, Indian Sub Continental, and Middle East.
Over the past two years in 2021 and 2022, due to my efforts, the container division grew:-
- From a fleet size of 6500 to 10000 (50% increase)
- Headcount from 7 to 16 employees
- Revenue growth from USD2 million in 2021 to USD3 million in 2022
- Develop new markets in the Indonesia niche markets as well as India-Gulf regions.
- Implementing strategies and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders to reduce unnecessary cost in challenging market situation.
- Creating a business development function, to focus on space procurement with regional feeder operators.
- Implementing a new system to reduce manual work and improve efficiency by 30%
