I highly believe in digitalisation and leveraging on big data to drive decision making; using both quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to generate key insights.

Over my time in DBS private banking and other internships, I have accumulated several traits and skill sets that will definitely be useful in your company. Firstly, I have acquired a strong financial acumen. I have cultivated a deep understanding of finance and investment principles which enables me to analyze complex financial data, assess risks, and identify lucrative investment opportunities. This expertise is essential in the world of finance where strategic decision-making is crucial for success. 

Secondly, I have acquired analytical and critical thinking skills. My previous internships have sharpened my analytical skills and ability to think critically. This will allow me to evaluate potential deals, conduct due diligence, and spot potential value in target companies. This skill set is invaluable in determining the viability of investments and maximizing returns. 

Lastly, I am a team player. My ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and lead when necessary makes me an asset to your firm. I have communicated with the DBS coding team and the private banking team and successfully worked out various internal projects together. My capacity to work well with others ensures the smooth execution of investment strategies.

The Bachelor of Science in Finance at Singapore University of Social Sciences provides breadth for a broad coverage of current finance and depth into areas of interest such as digital economy, investment, derivatives, and FinTech. Over my time studying, I have gained valuable insights on financial modeling, due diligence, investment valuations, and more. 

Our school also has strong relations with academic partners from the industry such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute, the Financial Planning Association of Singapore (FPAS), and the Global FinTech Institute (GFI).

Joining the Investment Club as an equity research analyst has also sharpened my skillsets in these various fields. I have gained valuable insights on how to perform company and industry research, financial and ESG analysis, financial modeling, and equity valuation to initiate a buy or sell call on a stock.
