DESMOND HO JUN WEI _

My name is Desmond, I am a year 3 student pursuing a degree in accountancy at Singapore Management University (SMU).

I am a responsible individual who can carry out tasks individually but when it comes to group work I am a great team player. I always encourage my teammates to voice out their ideas because I believe that every idea is precious and none is stupid. When there is a disagreement in my group, I will try to understand where my teammates are coming from and exercise integrated thinking to creatively resolve the tension between the two opposing ideas and come up with a new idea that contains elements of the others but is superior to both.

I am a firm believer that hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. I am a person with great perseverance. No matter how hard the situation is, I never give up because I believe that if I don't give up my hard work will eventually pay off.

I did an internship in EY (General audit) when I am studying at Nanyang Polytechnic and received a priority offer from EY. I did an internship with PWC (Financial service advisory) in 2022. I am an excellent team player and willing to put in extra effort to learn from my seniors.

I completed my Diploma in Accountancy at Nanyang Polytechnic in 2018. I am currently pursuing a degree in Accountancy at Singapore Management University.
