A keen and fast learner experienced in high through-put laboratory setting with molecular diagnostic background in infectious diseases (influenza, chikungunya, dengue and malaria). I pride myself as a multi-tasker in delivering high focus and quality work.

During my 4 years employment in the National Public Health Laboratory, I’ve been highly trained in

• High- throughput molecular screening techniques (real-time PCR diagnostics) with TAT of 4-6 hours
• IIFT for Dengue and Chikungunya diagnostic testing, TAT 6-8hrs
• Upstream sample processing manual and automation with Qiagen EZ1 Advanced XL and extraction kits
• Managed laboratory inventory, chemicals, and reagents for smooth running of lab
• Trained and guided newly joined Medical Technologist
• Established working protocols in accordance to ISO 15189 audit standards

Being a keen and fast learner, I’ve had the opportunity to handle protein work (protocol planning, sample prep, western blot and analysis) in my first job assignment in the field of diabetic research work in Alexandra Hospital leading to the discovery of a novel protein in the span of a year.
