About Dwaipayan Barman:

I would like to inform you that I am Dwaipayan Barman, completed PhD from Concordia University, mostly working on design of high torque density electrical machine, variable flux machines for traction applications. I also worked on a solid rotor induction machine for energy storage application. My PhD thesis was on cogging torque analysis in special permanent magnet machines, variable flux machines. I am also acquainted with cold spray additive manufacturing techniques to produce permanent magnet, core material for traction application to reduce acoustic noise and vibration in electrical machines. I also have basic knowledge on how to calculate core loss, parameter estimation and calculation, fault analysis of electrical machines. I have one-year experience in Canada and Singapore.

 I am actively looking for opportunities in electrical machine design.

Currently working as Research Fellow – Rolls Royce, NTU Corporate
Laboratory, Singapore
 Keen Interest in Electromagnetic analysis of Electrical Machines,
Permanent Magnet Machine Design, Novel Topologies of Electrical
Machines, Thermal and Mechanical Analysis of Electrical Machines, Novel
Materials for Electrical Machines such as Soft Magnetic Composites and
Electrical Vehicles
 Technically sophisticated in MATLAB-Simulink, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD
and many more
 Expert in designing of Electric Moto Designs and Drives, successfully carry
out activities development, formulating, implementing operational
strategy, coordination among various stakeholders and dealing with
concerned statutory authorities
 Able to collaborate proficiently and communicate effectively with
colleagues and management teams
 Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and a
strong work ethic
 Contributed several articles in leading national and international
journals/books
