Eve Tiang

I have a strong passion in helping to empower and enhance the life of people from different backgrounds. I believe that my personal passions and beliefs are aligned with your company’s purpose and I am confident that the skills I have acquired and honed from my several community service experiences, make me a suitable candidate for this position.

During my community service experiences, I have gained and honed a greater sense of responsibility and communication skills. While volunteering at CampusImpact, I planned lessons and managed groups of children. In addition, during my time at Carpe Diem Ace Learners, I ensured the hygiene and safety of the children whilst doing small activities with them. Through these experiences, I learnt to effectively communicate with the children individually as well as in a group. I learnt to patiently guide them and to also prioritize their safety and well-being at all times. Therefore, this has further enhanced my confidence in working with different people.

Also, my involvement in Co-Curricular Activities in school has contributed to my events management and leadership skills. As the Head Of Welfare in Commonwealth’s Netball team, I took part in planning large scale events such as sports camps and have individually planned and led bonding activities out of school. As a section leader in the prefectorial board, I led a group of students to carry out tasks while maintaining their discipline daily. Hence I am confident that my outgoing, responsible and passionate personality and the skills I have acquired will allow me to thrive with Calvary Community Care.

In my role as a counselling and social work intern, I have provided text counselling services to various clients and helmed in projects of the marketing and social media aspect of the company, Singapore Planned Families Association.
