About Gabriel O'Hara:

I am currently in the middle of a career switch from a designer background to a more technical and proficient software developer to further grow my skills and abilities complementing my user based approach to design.

Experience

Worked for 2 years with Nanyang Polytechnic as a Lab Technician Assistant. My responsibilities for this role includes providing technical assistance for any hardware and software issues encountered on the job. This ranges from diagnosing hardware failures like RAM failure to hard drives replacement and sometimes replacing equipment when deemed unrepairable on site. In addition, I install, configure and deploy operating
systems, software applications and security patches on all school devices to ensure security and keeping with the software requirements of the industry. As directed by my supervisor, we also test and implement new techniques for software/hardware deployment, ensuring our cycle of downtime/uptime is short and sweet.
