Garrick Teo

I am someone who will take initiative and will not shy away from challenges. Furthermore, I have a strong interest in finance and would love to explore more if given the opportunity. 

I recently completed an internship with Lion Global Investors, focusing on Natural Language Processing (NLP) for US SEC forms. My responsibilities included researching and implementing NLP techniques, back-testing factors generated from NLP research, and assisting with ad-hoc tasks. I also interned at Syfe, where I supported daily trading operations, worked on quantitative projects, and automated data extraction using Bloomberg Enterprise Data License API. I collaborated with the Hong Kong team on market research and portfolio construction.

I am currently a Year 4 Data Science and Analytics student, majoring in Economics from the National Univerisity of Singapore, I am on track to graduate with First-Class Honours (Highest Distinction) and expected to graduate in June 2024
