I am a PMP certified project manager with more than 10 years of global experience. Throughout my career, I have successfully planned and implemented a wide range of programs and projects in multiple industries. My past achievements include:
- Being rated as an “Exceptional Performer " (best performance category) by the Executive Leadership Team while managing a German OEM business (serving 28 countries) at Ansell as the chief project manager.
- Being selected to lead the Pen Needle Product Portfolio at B Braun (as a Portfolio Manager) by the COO/Senior Board Member of B Braun Medical Industries, Germany

  • Successfully establishing strategic partnership with robotic companies, service providers & collaborative in the region, including, APARA (Asia), MYRAS (Malaysia), IEEE (Global), NDTSS, India Energy Network (India)
  • Program Management: Managing the APAC Region of the SPRINT Robotics Collaborative (industry collaborative). This organization has over 120 members worldwide, including major O&G

Responsibilities while working for Global Marketing Team, Brussels, included:

  • managing our key German OEM Customer and their business across 28 countries (Revenue approx. 25M USD for 2022): from order entry point until the products are shipped (including working with global forwarders). Also the lead for customer engagement
  • Significant artwork management: new artwork implementation to meet regulatory & business requirements, implementation on time by working closely with Global Artwork Team and plants, portfolio simplification, discontinuation of SKUs
  • As a Pricing Manager (OEM Business), responsible for quarterly pricing and also in the implementation of pricing strategies that enhance profitability.
  • Managing cost reduction strategies (demonstrated cost savings above 200K USD for 2022).
  • leading and managing several high priority projects initiated by the Chemical Strategic Business Unit 
    (SBU) to meet the intended business objectives and deadlines. These include portfolio rejuvenation, long-term capacity planning, and OEM customer sourcing projects. 
  • Innovation acceleration: Owning the new product development process as the Stage Gate process owner 
  • Leading and managing projects initiated by Global and Regional Regulatory Affairs to handle changes 
    due to BREXIT and other Regulatory Bodies (e.g., Brazil, Russia, Korea, France, and Italy). 
  • Worked with more than 7 in-house manufacturing plants and 10 product suppliers across the world 
  • Led the NPD project of a protective suit (BSL4 suit) targeted for several high profile BSL4 laboratories in the USA.

 

Apr 2019- Mar 2020 Portfolio and Project Manager (RD PMO) at B Braun Medical Industries, Malaysia

As a Portfolio Manager I was responsible for the long-term strategic direction of the Pen Needle Product Portfolio.

Responsibilities included:

  • Managing more than 20 different projects (development, lifecycle, operations) with varying complexities
  • Handling new product development by collaborating with Global Sales & Marketing, Regulatory Affairs (RA) and local product expert teams. 
  • Leading development projects initiated by Out-Patient Market (OPM) Division (COE: Germany, Diabetes Care) for the key OEM Customer, Merck Serono.
  • Providing resolution options for project issues/complaints and ensuring compliance to standards
  • Providing immediate support when requested by the OEM customers (European Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies) for urgent matters
  • Supporting worldwide product registration activities and this includes producing reports/rationale when requested by authorities and Notified Bodies. 
  • Prioritising projects to ensure they are well aligned with strategic goals of the organization. Developing suitable long-term strategies to gain competitive advantage (either through cost leadership, differentiation or focus)

Led several Strategic Program and Technology Management (SPTM) and R&D projects including:

  • Installation of a new manual production line - pen needles: To ensure regulatory compliance and to increase sales revenue 
  • liaising with vendors, raising Investment Appraisals (IAs), purchasing equipment, completing all project documentation (Organisation Chart, Project Charter, Risk Analysis, etc.) and process qualification.

 

 

  • Benchmarking initiatives - various products: to identify areas for cost reduction and quality improvement 
  • Have benchmarked product performance, marketing strategies and the types of packaging used and have subsequently provided recommendations to the Benchmarking Committee (Upper Management)
  • Worked with with Aesculap (one of the top world leaders for single-use surgical instrument manufacturing) division’s Vice-President to identify areas for cost reduction

 

  • Compliance-related project - various products: To ensure conformance to relevant regulatory bodies
  • Established raw material specification (RMS) for products owned by B Braun France. This project was requested by quality management and R&D France to ensure regulatory compliance and to reduce quality defects. Established and maintained Design History File (DHF) for each finished device. Participated in OEM customer, TUV and Korean authority audits.  Worked with Regulatory Affairs Manager to compile and prepare a summary of relevant verification data for FDA 510k submission 

 

  • Procurement: New supplier and supply qualification projects - special needles: To penetrate a new market (USA)
  • Supplier qualification process involved selecting a suitable supplier, ensuring the supplier meets the stringent B Braun quality requirements (participating in quality audit), drafting technical aspects of the development contract and preparing the rest of internal documents required to qualify the supplier
  • Supply qualification process involved preparing raw material specifications for incoming components, performing design and/or process verification and reviewing Design For Manufacturing (DFM) document

 

Jul 2006 – Sep 2007 Engineer (14 months Placement), Shell, UK

 

  • Leading/managing projects to improve plant reliability and efficiency
  • Providing technical support to Shell’s Environmental team and various other business customer
  • Preparing reports on behalf of Shell for the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency 
  • Developing PI Process Book for the plant to view processes in real-time

Shell extended the 12-month contract for further two months based on the successful completion of the contract.
