With a couple years of experience in the field of compliance across various financial institutions, I am extremely keen to pivot into the field of sustainable finance. I am interested in roles that leverage on data and finance to accelerate green standards and initiatives and promote a low-carbon energy supply chain, which will ultimately bridge the gap between our present circumstances and a sustainably envisioned future.

I have previously worked for several financial institutions in compliance related functions, mainly focusing on client-onboarding and dealing with anti-money laundering risks. My experience in compliance has equipped me with a strong understanding of regulatory landscapes, risk management. While this background has provided a solid foundation, I am aware that sustainable finance requires a unique amalgamation of skills, both technical and interpersonal.

Complementing my undergraduate degree in Banking and Finance, I am currently completing my MSc in Global Sustainability Solutions, and am planning to transit into the sustainable finance industry. During my studies, I realised the importance and adaptive nature of financing combined with rigorous green standards in the pursuit of sustainability. There are significant financial and compliance aspects, whether it is financing or investing in technologies that emit fewer greenhouse gases, or supporting workers and communities affected by the shift to sustainable practices through the use of capital market instruments like bonds or carbon credits.
