Gladys Hung Lim

I am currently a year 4 full-time undergraduate in Nanyang Technological University, pursuing BSc (Hons) in Mathematical Sciences (Statistics). I have a strong passion for Mathematics and a passion for learning.

I am very adaptable and am able to learn new skills and adapt to changes well. I am an astute observer of the importance of team spirit and cohesiveness having played a proactive role in organising, planning and executing many practice sessions for my basketball team. I acquired strong communication skills and patience through my work experience in the Education and Retail sector. I have also established my leadership skills through management and organisation of key school events.

When time allows, I play basketball, go to the gym and do muay thai.

I am currently working as a private tutor and I have been teaching since May 2021. I previously took up the position as a Teaching Intern at Think Teach Academy and The Learning Lab and a part-time Coach at Eye Level Learning. 

I am currently a final year undergraduate in Mathematical Sciences with a specialisation in Statistics at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Some digital skills I have acquired during my course of study are basic python programming, data analysis, machine learning, time series analysis and regression analysis in R programming. With the skills picked up, I have done a few projects using R Programming, investigating the relationship between teaching methods and learning effects and life expectancy and its factors. I have also taken Korean and Bahasa Melayu modules in school and am able to hold a basic conversation in them. 

I have also held several leadership key positions, namely, Hall of Residence Three Women's Basketball Captain, Hall of Residence Three Freshmen Orientation Programme Overall Chief Group Leader, School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) SuPreMeS Freshmen Orientation Programme Assistant Chief Group Leader, SPMS SuPreMes Freshmen Orientation Programme Group Leader and Hall of Residence Three Freshmen Orientation Programme Chief Group Leader.
