My name is Hannah, a second-year accountancy university student at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), and I am reaching out to express my interest in the Internal Audit department as an intern for the upcoming internship which will commence in Jun 2023 to Aug/Sep2023.

After obtaining my diploma in Accountancy and Finance from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2020, I took a gap year to work in the corporate world as I wanted to gain some working experience before heading back to university. Some of the work that I did which include preparation of monthly management reports, financial statements, corporate tax computation and tax filling and as well asGST filling.

I also did my summer internship in Grant Thornton last year. As a tax intern, I worked very closely with the associate directors and seniors in my department where I assisted in the preparation of tax packages, GST compliance, GST registration and ACAP (Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme). It is a programme where we will assist and advise clients to set up a robust GST control framework to ensure proper control of the GST framework.

After completing my internship in a tax department, I would like to challenge myself to try a different job scope for my upcoming internship where I can apply the theories and knowledge that I learned in school about audit in the workplace and I moved on to PwC where I had the opportunity to work with many talent colleagues in the financial assurance team where I assisted my seniors in the various preparation of audit.

As I will be in my penultimate year this coming July, I felt that going for an internship is great opportunity to explore a different company culture before I graduate.

I had at least 1 year of working experience  as an accounts associate. Furthermore, I worked as a Tax Intern at Grant Thornton Singapore and Audit intern. 

I'm currently a year 2 student, pursuing a degree in Accountancy at Singapore University of Social Sciences from 2021- 2025.
