Hillary Lim

Hi! I am Hillary Lim, a graduating student from Nanyang Technological University. Currently, I am in my final year, studying Mathematical Science and specialising in Statistics. Since young, I have always loved working with 2 things. They are numbers and people. As I grew up, I found the connection between the two to be working in a corporate job in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. This industry is known for its passion to serve people and create memorable experiences for its consumers with its products and services. I believe my passion in life is to serve others and advocate for world peace. “Bodies at peace make peace,” is a quote I came across from the popular TV-show called Friends. This quote struck and inspired me to take that step forward into this industry. With my good statistical skills and foresight, I hope I can bring the Tourism and Hospitality Industry into a new beginning with the advancements of technology! 
 

Science Centre Board (STEM Inc Intern): 

• Analysed annual workshop survey results using Microsoft Excel skills to report areas of improvement for future workshops 

• Adopted 2D and 3D CAD programming skills and designed prototypes to refine collaborative teaching aids 

• Managed and strengthened department’s teaching resources on Canvas LMS portal using STEM knowledge 

• Devised and executed workshops for over 100 local and international teachers

Axcell Tuition Centre (Administrator and Tutor): 

• Collaborated with supervisors to meet clients’ demands on maneuvering class timings to achieve a systematic timetable for the centre 

• Computed monthly invoices for over 200 students using Microsoft Excel skills to provide accurate calculations of tuition fees to our clients 

• Educated mathematical and science knowledge to over 20 students to attain excellent results in the 90th percentile in their year-end examinations

I am currently studying in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. A Bachelor of Mathematical Science, graduating with Honours with Merit Expected. Specialising in Statistics, I have taken modules such as Data Analysis with Computer, Time Series Analysis, Regression Analysis, Real Analysis, Marketing for the 21st Century. I will be graduating in May 2023.
