Huo Yean Leong

I am a recent graduate from University Tunku Abdul Rahman with a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering degree. During my studies, I developed a strong interest in firmware engineering and its applications in the medical device industry. Specifically, I am drawn to the processes of research and development (R&D) and manufacturing of medical devices that require embedded firmware solutions.

Developed a solid understanding of the operation of basic test systems used in product development and manufacturing through my work in the engineering department.

Learned how to prepare finished goods for shipment, including packing and labeling, during my work in the manufacturing department.

Proficient in handling documentation tasks such as process documentation, device history archiving, and filing for record purposes.

Involved the use of electrical and acoustic test systems to inspect the device's entire function and appearance before and after repair.

Gained experience in visual inspection of the sub-assembly of a new product's microphone for the quality control purpose.

Developed a training station for remote training from the headquarter.

Prepared a document including the procedure of testing method for the medical packing bag based on the ASTM-F1929

Biomedical engineering is an interdisciplinary field that applies engineering principles to solve problems in medicine and healthcare. In particular, it involves the integration of biomedical knowledge, such as biosensors and biomaterials, with electronic design to create innovative solutions for healthcare applications. Additionally, I have experience with engineering design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and LTspice, as well as programming languages including MATLAB, Python, and C++.
