About Hyo Jin Yuh:

I am working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale-NUS College, and will be expected to graduate in May 2025. Currently, I am on a Fall International Exchange Program where some relevant coursework include Corporate Finance, Equity Portfolio Management, Financial Markets and Institutions, and Lean Management from Bocconi University. Through my educational background, I have gained a solid foundation in finance and acute understanding of macroeconomic developments on investment portfolios. My experience as an Investment Analyst Intern at One Hill Capital and as a Customer Experience Specialist Intern at Thryft has honed my analytical and communication skills, while my role as a Philanthropy Intern at Chua Foundation has given me experience in due diligence assessments. Additionally, my leadership experience as Ultimate Frisbee Captain and Yale-NUS College Poker Club Secretary and Co-Founder demonstrates my ability to manage and coordinate teams effectively.

Investment Analyst Intern at One Hill Capital

  • Analyzed investment prospects for Upfront Capital, reviewing past vintage performances and researching portfolio investments.
  • Wrote an investment memorandum for Transom Capital Fund IV, investigating in-depth the middle-market LBO market segment.
  • Tracked and provided Q2 updates on portfolio investments of 20 Private Equity Funds of ~$100 million AUM.

 Philanthropy Intern at Chua Foundation

  • Calculated Social Return on Investment for 10 programs, providing data-driven insights quantifying societal benefit.
  • Performed due diligence assessments for ~30 grant applicants, reviewing applicants' financial and managerial risks.
  • Corresponded with C-suite executives and program managers to align strategic objectives for 4 prospective projects.                                                                                                                            

Customer Experience Specialist Intern at Thryft Asia                                                       

  • Communicated with ~20 clients weekly to resolve customer concerns, increasing customer satisfaction rates by 95%.
  • Conducted analysis of email marketing campaigns for the June and July Bookfair using Shopify to track customer conversion rates for over 1000 customers, boosting customer click rates by more than 10%.
