Jamie Tan

Passionate about impacting lives and tackling challenges, I love to solve problems that people/organisations face due to my restorative and deliberative nature. With experience in generating ideas and implementing them into businesses, social enterprises, and sustainable projects I am always very intrigued by challenges and the unpredictability of tasks that come along with them. For example, in my current internship position as a Management Consultant in FT Consulting, I had the opportunity to lead projects like the rebranding of IPOS Society, market research for Commune Lifestyle, and marketing proposals for Tingkat Peramakan. Despite having some knowledge in the marketing area due to my 1-year internship experience in The Oddle Company, it was very different. I had to do my research, consult my experienced colleagues, analyse past projects, and more. Even though the learning curve was steep, I managed to pull through and add value to the clients.

I am currently working as a Management Consultant in FT Consulting since March 2022 where I assist in project management and manage client relationships. Projects mainly include branding & marketing strategy for local SMEs, franchising for SMEs who are interested in going global, and intellectual property for SMEs who are interested in protecting their assets and rights. Previously, I was a marketing generalist and copywriter in The Oddle Company, as well as an account manager for 4 social media accounts. 

My most relevant education includes a bachelor's degree in business management with a major in Strategic Management.
