Jarina Peer

Am an educator for the past 27 years, with diverse experience in teaching students from primary one to adult learners, in the mainstream, Gifted Education and special education. My different roles in Education are as a teacher, senior teacher, teaching fellow, curriculum & research specialist and Head of Research. I have carried out numerous roles such as being a mentor, coach, advisor and a leader. I am continuously involved in research in these various roles and have published when possible. I am a passionate educator and am able to adapt to new environment. I am well organized and enjoy working in collaborative teams and can independently manage diverse objectives.

I am an educator who has been involved in the field of education for the past 27 years inclusive of 7 years in Gifted Education, 6 years in Special Education and 4 years as a Teaching Fellow in NIE. I can contribute to its focus on providing education, engage in curriculum development, research in education and delivery of services and thus contribute to teaching, research, innovation and development. 

A strong advocate of lifelong learning, I am currently completed the Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) (to be completed in May, 2023) to further equip me with key principles in adult learning, instructional design, tech-enabled learning and classroom learning delivery. I have completed a module on Research Investigations in Early Childhood Education by NTU. I obtained a Doctor of Philosophy from Curtin University, Australia and a Master of Education from the University of Sheffield, UK as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education, NTU, Singapore.
