Jerryl Goh

My name is jerryl, and currently I am a fresh graduate from NUS with a bachelor’s in finance and accounting. As an undergraduate, I developed a strong interest in the world of investing, and that is why I had taken the opportunity to apply for internships as well as joining school societies, in order to supplement my learning as well apply my knowledge in the field.

Through my previous internships at Standard Chartered, KPMG and Temasek in roles ranging from M&A advisory, infrastructure advisory and private equity investing, I have found the world of banking to be extremely exciting and relevant in our world today

I most recently completed an internship at standard chartered within their investment banking team, helping in the origination and execution of m&a transactions in the oil, gas and chemicals as well as the power, utilities and infrastructure sector coverage teams. As an intern, I was in charge of putting together pitch books as well as conducting financial analysis for the purpose of management presentations. This would include research on industry growth trends, building company profiles of potential buyers as well as doing comparable companies analysis for valuation models.

Prior to that I also interned with KPMG within their infrastructure advisory team, advising on strategic and financial advisory engagements within the power, utilities and transport sectors. As an intern, I was in charge of conducting research and analysis on a variety of infrastructure sectors, their growth rates and trends, as well as government policies and plans related to infrastructure development. After that I would also be involved in putting together pitch books to be presented to clients.

Last but not least, I also interned with Temasek within their private equity funds investment group, helping in the execution of fund and co-investments globally. As an intern, I was in charge of conducting due diligence on potential investments, and this would include conducting research on the management teams of GPs, benchmarking prior fund returns against their peers as well as modelling the potential returns based on the funds’ waterfall. I would then also be involved in putting together pitchbooks to be presented to the investment committee.
