Hello! I'm Jun Meng, a Computer Science graduate turned blockchain enthusiast. Over the years, I've transitioned from traditional software engineering to focusing on blockchain technologies, specifically developing on dApps both in DeFi and the NFT gaming space.

My interest in blockchain is not just limited to the technological aspect but also extends to the community that supports it. I believe in the power of collaboration and communication in creating a vibrant and supportive developer ecosystem. My goal has always been to connect with other developers, understanding their needs, and providing them with the necessary guidance and resources.

Participating in multiple hackathons and developer forums has allowed me to interact with a global community of blockchain developers. These experiences have sharpened my communication and presentation skills, as well as deepened my understanding of the community's requirements.

With a strong technical foundation and a passion for community building, I am keen to take on roles where I can help engage and grow the developer community while contributing to the exciting field of blockchain.

As a Computer Science graduate, I started my professional journey as a Software Engineer at PayPal before making a transition into the exciting world of blockchain. This shift allowed me to deeply explore and understand the nuances of blockchain technologies, specifically in areas such as DeFi and NFT gaming.

In various roles, I have developed and implemented EVM-based smart contracts, contributed to diverse blockchain projects, and successfully raised substantial funds. My involvement in these projects also allowed me to build strategic partnerships and increase user engagement and transactions.

Participating in multiple ETHGlobal Hackathons has been a highlight of my career. Leading teams to develop innovative solutions and win various prizes, I got a firsthand experience of the vibrant and collaborative spirit that exists within the blockchain developer community.

One of my key strengths is my ability to work effectively in developer relations. I often act as a bridge between developers and the broader ecosystem, understanding their needs and providing them with the necessary guidance and resources. This community-focused approach is a testament to my passion for building and fostering a vibrant developer community within the blockchain sphere.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with Honors from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. This rigorous program equipped me with a solid foundation in key aspects of computer science, software development, and system design. It also provided me with a robust understanding of algorithm design, data structures, and programming languages.

While my formal education provided me with the necessary technical skills, my self-driven learning path led me to specialize in blockchain technologies. Over time, I've immersed myself in mastering blockchain concepts and writing dApps. I've also gained hands-on experience with Solidity, TypeScript, JavaScript, Ethers.js, Web3.js, and Hardhat. This continued education has been pivotal in my successful transition from a traditional software engineer to a dedicated blockchain developer.
