I am a final year student at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) pursuing a bachelors in Chemical Engineering. I am a self-directed and proactive learner, with interests in sustainability. In NTU, I was chairman of the data science and analytics club in the school of chemical and biomolecular engineering, planning and hosting introductory programming workshops for students who share an interest in computer science. Outside of school, I enjoy doing sports, like bouldering and badminton.

During my schooling in NTU, I was also a logistics engineering intern for Schneider Electric Pte Ltd from 3 Jan 2022 to 15 July 2022. A notable project during my internship would be the HubAsia Relocation Project, where I created simulations of all the warehouse processes in the new distribution center that we were relocating to. This allowed the planning team to identify potential wastes in the processes and optimize them, while also providing upper management with realistic KPIs and targets for when the distribution centre is moved to the new site. 

I also created some solo projects, using microsoft excel vba and RPA to automate processes that would otherwise be a waste of manpower, translating to cost savings of 3k Euros/year.

I am still currently pursuing my bachelors in Chemical Engineering, and will be expected to graduate by May 2023. On top of my roles as Chairman of the Data Science and Analytics club, I am also a peer tutor for the school of chemical and biomolecular engineering. 

As a peer tutor, I tutor fellow chemical engineering students on specific modules that they may be struggling in. The most notable experience would be tutoring fluid mechanics to a group of 3 students. What made this experience memorable was because it was during the beginning of COVID, where the school was starting to go online. This made meeting face to face for tutoring difficult, which forced me out of my comfort zone and think out of the box, hosting online tutoring sessions through zoom, learning how to operate a digital whiteboard to ensure that my students could still get the most out of the tutoring sessions.
