Kastoori Kalaivanan

I am a research fellow at DUKE-NUS Medical School, Singapore. I hold a PhD in linguistics from Nanyang Technological University and am passionate about studying minority linguistic communities and applying novel research and statistical methods in my work. 

Highly experienced research scientist with 6+ years of combined professional and academic research experience. Diverse working experience across different disciplines and trained in qualitative, quantitative research and statistical techniques. Research specialization in linguistics assessing minority speakers’ language use patterns and cultural factors influencing language choices and understanding the factors underlying individual variations in language learning. Leader in project management skilled in delivering results to project stakeholders and maintaining professional working relationships between academic institutions and clients.

I hold a PhD in Linguistics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
