About Kirsten Neethling:

I am a 28-year-old South African teacher. I graduated with a Bachelor of Laws in 2016 and later obtained a Post-graduate Certificate in Education. I have lived and worked in South-East Asia since 2017, gaining experience teaching students ranging from 3 to 18 years-old.

Experience

At present, I am a Cambridge Primary Homeroom Teacher for Grade 1 at Taman Rama Intercultural School in Bali, where I was also previously a Grade 5 and 6 English Teacher. Here, I have gained experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum and delivering interactive lessons for English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Art.

I started my career teaching in Thailand — first as a High School English Teacher for Grades 7,9 and 11; and later as a Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher at a bilingual school which uses International Standard Curricula and is focused on ‘STEAM’ Education.

Education

I gradated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 2016 and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (International) in 2020. I obtained my TEFL certificate in 2017.
