Krithy Satish Kumar

My name is Krithy Satish Kumar and I’m a 21 year old who loves fashion and meeting new people. Being an extrovert has allowed me to effortlessly mingle into crowds since a young age, which was a skill that I developed whilst shifting from the UK at a young age. I am graduating from my diploma in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in May 2023.

Being brought up in UK and India, the difference in my upbringing have allowed me to become more empathetic and patient. Whilst finishing off my high school in India, I was well-recognised for my leadership, organisational and my people-person skills . Slow and steadily, these skills allowed me to grow up the hierarchy of the student cabinet and organisation committee respectively, which led to me being the Head Girl of my school and Head of the Organisation Committee in our schools intra-school Model United Nations (MUN). Some of my strongest skills would be communication, organisation, leadership, time-management and the perseverance to work harder. I always ensure that I add a personal touch in my work.

My interest in fashion and skill in management has led me to study Fashion Merchandising and Marketing in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, where I aspire to put my passion and skills together to pave a strong career path. I've worked in quite a number of positions, both in the front-end and back-end of a fashion business, where I discovered my interest in marketing, project management and public relations/communications.

Other than my studies, I also love to help out and assist my father in his organic produces business in Chennai, India and I am also keen about blogging and being a micro-influencer, with an online presence on Instagram and TikTok. I have successfully collaborated with a number of brands as well. You may find me on social media as @krithy_kumar.

I recently worked as a marketing intern in Jinder's. Jinder's is a leading bridal boutique in Singapore, which sells bridal lehengas, brideswear attire, sarees, exclusive designer wear, cocktail/evening gowns and Indo-Western garments as well.

Whilst working in Jinder's, not only did I work as a marketing intern, but I also acted as a brand manager for an international company named Chique Studio, customer service associate, logistical head. This wide job scope enabled me to grow my knowledge in many topics, whilst learning how to manage the back-end website and logistics of a fast-paced Indian fashion brand in Singapore.

Some notable projects I was in charge of was a blogger's meet for Fashion Fusion Fun, an in-house exhibition we hosted in September. I was also the main graphic designer for their upcoming project of designing the gift boxes and packaging and expanding the gifting section of the Jinder's website.

I am graduating from Fashion Merchandising and Marketing from NAFA and some of my skills are communication, teamwork, coordination and organisation. Over the course of my education, I learnt Product Development, Digital Marketing and Merchandising, Fashion Branding, Digital Fashion via VStitcher and Visual Merchandising. These subjects allowed me to strengthen my skills and I also got the oppurtunity to conduct market/trend researches and  analysed the data with Excel. Another skill of mine is email writing and report writing, as I am precise with my words. I have also had live client experience during my final year project, where I got the opportunity to design and re-brand Binary Style, a local fashion business in Singapore.

Other than educational qualifications, I have over 20 CCA points and I have served as a Student Representative Committee member for the entire 3 years of my diploma.
