Laura Oliva

I am a recent graduate from the University of Regensburg, where I pursued my studies in Elementary Education with a major in German and additional coursework in English, Mathematics, and Art. I completed my degree in the autumn of 2022. Throughout my academic journey, I have actively sought diverse practical experiences through internships and various part-time jobs. These opportunities have allowed me to explore different fields and gather valuable hands-on experience.

From 2019 to 2021, I took a maternity break to care for my wonderful four-year-old daughter. This experience has not only deepened my understanding of the importance of early childhood development but has also enriched my personal growth as a parent. During this time, I continued to stay updated on educational practices and engage in professional development activities to ensure I remain current in the field of education.

Prior to and during my studies, I actively pursued different internships and part-time jobs, which provided me with a wide range of experiences across various sectors. These experiences allowed me to develop strong skills and gain invaluable practical knowledge in diverse areas. I have had the privilege of working in educational institutions, where I acquired expertise in classroom management, curriculum development, and student assessment. Additionally, I took up part-time jobs in different industries, which enhanced my teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

My passion for education and nurturing young minds has always been a driving force in my academic pursuits. I believe in the power of a well-rounded education that encompasses both theoretical knowledge and the ability to connect with students on a personal level, fostering their love for learning. Through my studies and practical engagements, I have developed strong interpersonal skills and an adaptable mindset.

Throughout my academic journey, I actively pursued numerous internships and gained valuable experience in various fields. I worked in gastronomy, teaching, hotel operations, sales, and as a nanny. Most recently, I served as a school assistant in a German elementary school. These experiences have equipped me with a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of fostering a positive learning environment.

I obtained my Abitur in 2014 from St. Irgemnagrd Gymnasium in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with an average grade of 2.7. Subsequently, I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at the University of Regensburg, which I successfully completed in autumn 2022.
