About Leia Tan:

My name is Leia Tan and I graduated from St Josephs Institution in 2021, having completed the International Baccalaureate Programme. As an aspiring Medicine MBBS or Veterinary Medicine BVMS student in university, I am hoping to look for jobs or internships in these areas. I am a responsible, committed, and goal-oriented individual who loves to serve my peers and the community. My hobbies are playing the violin and guitar, serving in Church, spending time with friends and family, playing with animals and building lego

Experience

I have never had professional experience as I was still studying. However, I have volunteered at Willing Hearts to aid in food preparation for the elderly, Ulu Pandan Stars to tutor Mathematics to underprivileged Secondary 1 and 2 students. I have also attended a mission trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and mentored students in Viola playing at the DaZhong Primary School string ensemble. 

Education

I completed the IB Diploma Programme at St Joseph's Institution in 2021. The subjects I took were Biology, Chemistry, and Economics at HL and Chinese, Math, Language and Literature at SL. In 2019, I completed the GCE ‘O’ Level Examinations at Methodist Girls' School with an L1R5 of 9.
