Li Xinruo

I am Li Xinruo, a Year 1 Student at Nanyang Technological University. I chose to study Public Policy and Global Affairs at the School of Social Sciences because I wish to gain knowledge on policymaking processes that can impact people's lives, and slowly initiate projects with positive global outcomes.

Two projects I've done include: 1. A one-man project where I've worked with my Junior College's academic department to provide free supplementary lessons for students in need, and 2. Being an advocate for feminism and inequality, where I've spoke at various conferences and started a public Telegram Channel to discuss such issues actively with people my age.

In my University, I assist in policy research under Student Union's Academic Policy Executive, which liaises with various school offices to improve the University's academic practices. 

Beyond school grounds, I always immerse myself in part-time environments with diverse backgrounds: I currently have a bartending job at 95 East Coast. Previously, I've also staffed Hilton, Singapore, as well as academic tutoring under MatchAMentor Singapore, where I have taught over 50 students. 

My previous work experiences also include an internship under the Ministry of Education, as well as a legal internship under Advox Law, where I am skilled in policy, education and legal research. 

I am currently pursuing an Undergraduate Degree in Public Policy and Global Affairs, under the School of Social Sciences in Nanyang Technological University. 

I also have an A level Certification under Eunoia Junior College, and IP Certificate from CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School.
