Nichelle Ang

Hi, I'm Nichelle! I'm currently a student at NAFA studying art teaching, in this course I'm required to study at NIE (National Institute of Education) every Thursday as well. I'm very passionate in the arts especially painting and digital art. I enjoy teaching children and I tend to match their energy and enthusiasm whilst still upholding discipline in the class. I currently have experience with teaching in a kindergarten and an arts enrichment centre.

I have taught as an art teacher at a special needs kindergarten last year for slightly shy of a month. I was tasked to not only teach art but also help my students with daily necessities like toileting, teeth brushing and eating. It was quite eye opening as it was my first teaching job and I enjoyed teaching the children a lot. I am currently working at NAFA Junior Art as an assistant teacher and I enjoy helping my students with understanding art better and seeing their progress every week.

I am currently studying at NAFA (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts) and I'm learning about the MOE syllabus, how to progress as an artist and teaching in general as well.
