Nichelle Ang

Hello, I’m Nichelle! I’m a fresh NAFA graduate who's a bright and adaptable person with almost 2 years of teaching experience. Throughout these years, I have developed a more meticulous and gentle approach to teaching. I thoroughly enjoy communicating with students, and hearing about their experiences has always been a highlight of my lessons. As an empathetic person, I strive to provide a safe space for my students to confide in and feel supported.

I have taught as an art teacher at a special needs kindergarten last year for slightly shy of a month. I was tasked to not only teach art but also help my students with daily necessities like toileting, teeth brushing and eating. It was quite eye opening as it was my first teaching job and I enjoyed teaching the children a lot. I am currently working at NAFA Junior Art as an assistant teacher and I enjoy helping my students with understanding art better and seeing their progress every week.

I am currently studying at NAFA (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts) and I'm learning about the MOE syllabus, how to progress as an artist and teaching in general as well.
